Great little track. Requires accuracy on every shot and any hole can jump up and bit just when you think tings are going well. Great hospitality and a pleasure to play, would encourage everyone to take the time to play something that is just a little different.

Very flat track. Very little undulation in the fairways at all. Have replanted a few fairways over the last 18 months. Those established are quite good. Grass greens small and very soft. Length good, some challenging holes (10, 6). Overall not a bad bush track.

Measures 5748m Par 71 with five par 3s ranging from 138-161m, nine par 4s ranging from 290-386m and four par 5s ranging from 450-486m.
Course has firm, dry & patchy Santa Ana couch fairways with clumpy weeds and dirt rough under the tree-line. The small bent grass greens are mostly slow and there are no bunkers on the course. Course has an easy flat slightly boring layout.
Highlights include: the opening 486m dogleg left 1st (index 9) with a dry yellow staked creek across the fairway about 50m short of the dead patch ridden green; the 462m straight 6th (index 5) with a lake on the left from the tee til 180m short of the green with small shrubs to avoid on the right centre of the fairway of the tee; the short 290m straight 7th (index 14) with a dam short left and left of the green and the 356m 17th (index 4) which doglegs 90 degrees right from 180m off the tee.
The front nine is more challenging than the back nine but the course has several similar dogleg holes. Little strange layout with the 10th & 18th fairways hitting over the driveway entrance road and the 9th green beside the 10th tee which are a fair distance from the clubhouse.
Played here 15/09/2011 with $22 green fees. Course is accessed 2km south-east of town on the C264 (known as Koondrook Road). Kerang has nearly 4000 people and is about 60km south of Swan Hill.
The course could use bunkers to add to the challenge like other nearby clubs of Barham and Cohuna which are less than 30 minutes from each other. Friendly members but the course is the least challenging amongst Murray Downs, Cohuna and Barham which are all within 1 hour’s drive.
