Korumburrama was our second leg of a golf weekend tha included Mirboo North. Korumburra is located about 4 km from the town in beautiful surroundings. The Gippsland hills are a perfect backdrop to a fine golf course. Unfortunately at the time of writing the course's greens had lost some grass cover although the greens were still puttable. Some of the holes are quite magestic, particularly the 5th 6th 14th and 15th where the natural undulations of the land have been utilized to add to the spectactular nature of these holes. If there is a criticism of the course it is the 1st and 2nd holes. The 1st is 120m and the second a monster 427m par 4.If the 2 holeswere combined it would make a great par 5. One of the many fine courses in this region.

I have played Korumburra a few times and all I can see is that it isn't the best course going around. It does have some very intersting holes that are worth a look but I feel the difficulty created by the lack of flat ground outweighs this. It is extremely difficult in summer due to all the undulations, and a very hard slog in winter.
But on the bright side, it is much more enjoyable than pushing up daisy's.
If you are afraid of walking up a few hills then this isn't for you, number 14 (Webb's horror) is the nastiest slope you will ever walk up in golf.
