This is one of the best small country courses I have played. The drought knocked it around somewhat, but it is now well on the way to recovery.
The earlier review stating that the club is in financial strife sounds like sour grapes to me, as they have in the past 2 years spent in excess of $100,000 installing an automatic watering system and have sown the course to couch.
A great little course for Saturday competitions, very friendly menbers who go out of their way to make you welcome and it is well worth a visit.

During spring 2008 a major redevelopement of this course was carried out.
9 fairways were renovated and sown into wintergreen couch grass.
As a result they are now experiencing a wonderful 80% strike rate.

They are also intending to sow the front 9 next spring depending on the water allocation. The greens on this course are equal to any in the Goulburn Valley. Incidently as stated in a previous preview re the financial state of the club this is not correct.
New administration and curators have really turned around this golf course and I really believe that with the additional 9 holes to be sown in the coming spring , that this will be a top golf course and an added bonus for golfers along the Murray river resort towns, with very reasonable green fees for tourists and club sporting groups.

this course was in much better condition through the late 90’s and is in financial strife.

The course has 3 strong par 3 holes with the 9 th 191 to a tiny green being in my opinion an unfair hole. the pick of the 3’s is the 12th or 15 th.

None of the par 5’s reach any great standards and are all between 442 and 484 mts the 8 th being the best of them.

The pars 4’s here fail to inspire in any way they are all doglegs to some degree except the first and it bends slightly to the left.longest is the 379 mtr 11th pick of the lot goes to the 13 th hole with 2 of the 13 bunkers on this course leaving a narrow entrance to the green for the long hitter.
