Turned up here for a game and found a couple of dry fairways, sand/oil scrapes and nobody around at 4.00pm on a Sunday to book a game. No water in the lake either.

The course has tiny flat black soil greens with dry fairways. The course is located on Walker Street at the Lake Cargelligo Sports Club about 1km south the town centre.
Like the 354m straight 1st most holes are wide and straight and the black soil greens are visible from the little tee mounds.
As mentioned Lake Cargelligo ran dry in the summer of 2009/2010 for the first time since 1902. After some good rain events in 2010 and 2011 the lake is full of water, which I must say, makes the small town of 1200 people look an oasis in contrast to the red dirt.
Lake Cargelligo is approximately 160m above sea level about 70km (or 45 minutes) north of Rankins Springs and 1 hour west of Condobolin.
