Played this course on a glorious day in April 2011.

Preferred lies were in play on the fairways and necessary to give your ball a good sit. Greens were slow and patchy.

Par 5 8th is the highlight, a nice hole that doglegs left around a large dam. A pleasant surprise.

The clubhouse is comfortable with a plasma TV, hospitality was awesome (there was a barbecue spit the day I was there) and $3 stubbys and $2.50 lights was the icing on the cake.

Two stars for the course, extra half star for great members and cheap beer.

Measures 2896m Par 36 with two par 3s ranging from 140-150m, five par 4s ranging from 293-366m and two par 5s ranging from 470-495m. Course is in extremely poor condition. Terrible dirt-ridden fairways and teebeds and some greens were unputtable with too much sand, dirt and weeds on the small bunkerless greens. There are no bunkers on the course.

Short par 4s are not very challenging but I for a town of around 500 people I guess golf is the only thing to do here. The best hole is probably the 495m 8th which doglegs left around a large dam with the wide fairway gently sloping to the lateral water hazard from the tee all the way the bunkerless green.

Played here 17/11/2010 with green fees $10. Located on the Hamilton Highway midway beween Geelong and Warrnambool I will never play here again.

Spacious nine hole course with excellent grass greens. Travelled with two mates from Horsham to play in their annual Arcadian wool 4BBB tournament and had a scream. $20 per pair paid for the green fees, entry, sangas before play, and a sensational BBQ. The locals were most accommodating and us visitors were heartily welcomed. Looking forward to their Anzac Day Tournament also 4BBB and recommend you all get a partner and make the trek. Only an hour south of Ballarat, an hour west of Geelong and it was just over 2 hours from horsham. Definite worth the effort
