Maffra has a superb 18 hole championship golf course boasting wide well watered fairways, a spattering of fairly placed bunkers, not too rough rough and carefully manicured true greens. Visitors are welcome.

Maffra is always talked about by those in Gippsland as a treat. The greens are fantastic as they are always watered. It’s a decent country course. There’s no real variety, primarily kikuyu fairways which are in reasonable condition. The members are friendly and it’s worth a visit if you’re travelling that way.

I’ve played most courses in the gippsland region & it is allways a treat to go to Maffra because of the best surface of putting green in the district. The course is set among the irrigation district off the macalister river so at most times it is watered to a standard that is second to none. it was a challenge because of the wind but allways playable! very friendly people & staff that are very proud of their course, worth the visit & not over rated!

I follow on from the previous poster. Maffra is always talked about by locals as a treat. Whilst I am spoilt by the courses I play, this is in no way a treat even for a country course. I can’t think of one redeeming factor. Boring, straight, easy.
