I played at mango hill yesterday and i found that this is one of the worst golf courses in qld, the fairways are bad and the greens are absolutely shocking there is no way you can read the greens because the grass is long. its a 9 hole course which is not challenging even for a junior like me.

After playing what i consider the best course in QLD Pacific Harbour, it was a i suppose "fitting" that i find the worst course in QLD.
I counted at least 4 different types of grass on most greens which were the ruffest i have seen in 15 years of golf. It appears that the greens dont even see any water unless it rains.
Fairways are brown with moderate grass coverage and there was more GUR than you could poke a stick at.
4 of the par fours are reachable with 3 wood or driver but there are a couple of tricky par 3's
Fees are almost the same as pine rivers which is 15 minutes away and an 18 hole course with quality greens.
Do yourself a favour and go to Redcliffe or Pine Rivers instead.

Played yesterday for the first time with a couple of blokes who have played there heaps and they said it was good compared to normal. Look you have to accept it for what it is - a 9 hole hackers course with liberal dress regulations and mainly dad's out with their young sons for a Sunday swipe with a beer or 6! Greens poor, short course. Fairways average.1 and a half stars.

It's true. The Mango Hill GC is not the sort of course you would play if you are a very serious golfer. If you are a hacker like me, it doesn't matter that the fairways are not in terribly good condition or that the greens are very patchy. It is a cheap course which gives you the opportunity to enjoy a nice walk with some golf thrown in. It also provides the opportunity to hone your skills -9 holes costs $10 which is the same or cheaper than a bucket of balls on a driving range, but you can work on your game "in real life" so to speak. Don't expect a championship course, and enjoy the walk.

Mango Hill (Country View) GC measures 2469m Par 35 with 9 holes and 18 alternating tees. It has one 439m Par 5, 2 Par 3s ranging from 160-180m and 6 Par 4s ranging from 225-350m. The first few holes are quite poor with fairways in very bad condition, and the greens and tee-beds not far behind. Not to mention the stray golf balls from the cow paddock of a driving range, with NO nets ñ very surprisingly as the quality of players on the course, does not exactly install confidence in your safety. The last 3 holes are probably a better test of golf, with doglegs, water, OOB, sand and trees to avoid. Played here 20/2/06 and paid $10 green fees for 9 holes. Probably would not return to play, as One Mile, North Lakes and Redcliffe are also within close proximity and offer better test of golf.

Mango Hill Golf Club is a nice 9 hole course to play a quick game on. It is a bit challenging and its holes are nice and lengthy. The green fees are also very cheap. Apart from its fairways, this course is pretty good quality and is good for a game here and there.
