Time for an update…measures 5259m Par 69 with five par 3s ranging from 110-203m, eleven par 4s ranging from 245-402m and two par 5s ranging from 436-460m.

There are 18 black soil scrapes with a short-medium sized tree-lined layout. Holes 1-6 are played on the eastern side of the highway, whilst holes 7-18 are played on the clubhouse side of the highway.

There are no bunkers on the course but there is variety in the length of the par 3s and par 4s here. Unless they convert the scrapes to grass greens the course will be no better than 1-star which represents "basic golf facilities". Fees are $10

Marong is a small rural township of less than 500 people approximately 200m above sea level about 15km west of Bendigo.

Course access is from the Calder Alternate Highway just north of the junction with the Wimmera Highway.

This course has as much character as any in Australia. It is located on the st Arnauld Road about 10 minutes out of Bendigo. The sand greens are in good condition and the fairways have a good layer of grass on them. The fairways are undulating and there are several trees that need to be strategically negotiated.
