Great little Golf Course. As mentioned below, the greens are small and provide a great challenge. The fairways are quite forgiving and are nice and wide. Great for beginners. Uses an honesty box when the clubhouse is not occupied (which is often), so I would suggest taking the correct change.
PROS
- Good course for beginners
- Small greens offer a challenge

Played in the St Patricks day Irish stableford event again this year having played in it last year. For a small country town golf course it is excellent. Very challenging small greens that are very different from the courses I am used to playing on but with the right amount of spin you can attack the pin. I will be playing there more often than just now and then.

With 5 par 4s, 3 par 3s and 1 par 5 measuring 485m, Miriam Vale could be mistakened for an open, easy par 68 9 hole course. Although the par 4s and 5 are your standard open layout, the par 3’s in my opinion give you your best challenge. The 4th measures just 123m but is highly elevated with a stream and tall gums protecting the small green. The 5th and 7th are both 180m+ and require an accurate long iron to reach the putting surface. Miriam Vale also demands are strong short game. With recent rain, the grass surrounding the greens is very soft so chipping and running simply doesn’t work. Without a good loft shot you’ll waste shots around the green pretty quickly. $20 for 18 holes is reasonable and the course can be testing at times but is the ideal environment for a social hit when travelling on the Bruce Hwy.
