There are 18 black soil greens with a few bunkers, doglegs and tree-lined wide fairways. Fees are $7

Course is on Hughes Road on the way to Port Hughes. Moonta has around 3000 people, but around 4000 people if you include the towns of Port Hughes and Moonta Bay. Moonta is around 4km inland at approximately 30m above sea level.

Course has no water available and like others on the Yorke Peninsula is closed from October til March. Basic golf here when you consider The Dunes at Port Hughes is a few kilometres down the road.

Situated about 1-1/2 houres north of adelaide in copper area. It has 6 par 3s 137-200 mtrs. 8 par 4s 257-390 4 par 5s 425-462 mtrs. 5401 total. 35 in 35 out. 7 obs rhs, 3 obs lhs. Has nice blacks. Heaps of trees, several doglegs and undulations the only thing

Holding the course back is no water.Very hot & sandy summertime drains well and lush in winter. Well worth bringing clubs if traveling this way. Course is a worthy challenger.
