I play at Mooroopna on a regular basis and the work done over recent years has resulted in one of the most improved facilities in northern Victoria. The greens are as good as anywhere and the fairways recently upgraded to couch are some of the best in the region. I recommend come and try it you will be suprised by the quality.

Rate this course as a low 3. The course has a good layout and facilities but over the last few years has had ( probably due to poor water supply )a problem with the front approach to the greens being very patchy on several holes. This forces players to chip over this area rather than having the option of different aproaches. Fairways have also been variable in the drier months.

This challenging par 73 is a test of shot making and patience. Gary Player said the 7th is ''one of the best/prettiest country par 3's he's played'' The greens are no doubt the best part of the course followed closely by the challenging layout. The fairways are a bit inconsistant but are typical for the climate / region

. The irragation system is all electronic which facilitates a nice green cover all year round. Overall Mooroopna is one of those "sneaky" golf courses that has heaps of character, is easy to walk, the greens are a pleasure and if you have a good round you really feel like you earned it. The facilities are great, friendly staff, little bistro, beer garden covered with sails in front of a lovely clubhouse that looks straight down the 18th.
