mount pleasent is a golf course for the precise golfer who loves challenging par fives, fours and par threes, when playing this course pay attention to the first 2 of 3 holes as they are challenging, the first is a par 5 downhill for the big hitter that tees off correctly will have short distance left on the hole if on fairway , the same applies to the third which is differentto the first,it starts off flat and goes slightly uphill to the big gum tree on the right then it levels out to the hole .

all the other holes have simular respect to the first two of three, the hardest is the 17th hole straight and uphill hole with no bunkers be ready to use extra club when approaching this hole as short shots wont be rewarded here on this hole, the green matches the slope on this hole as well, overall a very good course.

(i’m a member from mannum golf club, when mount pleasent was in our pennet league(murraylands)the course was always in championships condition.
I played on it from 2000 to 2008 every year was a pleasure to play there and meet the locals there in each of those years,as a former comp opposition player(pennets)i wish mount pleasent all the best.)

Have been playing the Mt Pleasant Course recently and it is a very enjoyable course. Has some tricky holes including the 3rd Par 4 where you need to be able to hit a nice 200m drive over the lake to get to the green in 2. The Greens are well kept and improving. Has the potential to be one of the nicest public courses in Adelaide but needs the Green Fees to be able to improve!

A friendly club that welcomes visitors. Carts available but no pro shop.An interesting layout that changes with the varied wind conditions. At its best September to December. Preferred lies on all fairways and slow but improving greens (Mostly volunteer greenkeeping). The par 4 third hole (index 2) is the course show piece. 200m drive cuts the dog leg over the lake for a 120m shot to a green protected a narrow gate of 10m gum trees the green. Other wise play your second from 180m. A great course for that casual game of golf.

When course becomes fully irrigated it will be one of the better public access courses in Adelaide region.
