It's not Augusta but give it a go! Sand greens are an amusing novelty for the city dweller. The irrigation channel is used wisely to create some challenging hazards depending on your length off the tee. Not easy for the average and plenty of temptation for the a-graders, this course has something for everyone.

Measures 5635m Par 70 with five par 3s ranging from 124-206m, ten par 4s ranging from 290-387m and three par 5s ranging from 439-482m.
Course has 18 black soil greens and is fairly well kept with manicured fairways, short tree-lined fairway layout with even a few bunkers. There are a few slight doglegs otherwise most holes are straight with the black soil greens visible from the tee mound. Fees are $12.
Some interesting holes like the 206m par 3 finishing 18th (index 6), the 387m straight 4th (index 1) with a teeshot over the irrigation channel.
The par 3s are quite varied and with some reasonably long par 4s the course is not that simple where it is a drive and a wedge to the flags.
Narromine has around 3600 people at approximately 240m above sea level and is 40km west of Dubbo along the Mitchell Highway, 105km north of Parkes and 125km southeast of Nyngan. The course is located on Warren Road which is currently signposted Gilgandra on the way out of town to Trangie which is 35km north-west along the Mitchell Highway.
The town is better known as the place where cricketer Glenn McGrath grew up in than for its golf course. The course is bounded by the Mitchell Highway to the south, Warren Road to the east and the irrigation channel/airport to the north and west.
