The course was built to compliment the resort, not the resort built to compliment the course. If you want to tkae your wife and kids for a game, this is the course. Average condition.

Measures 2545m Par 35 with 2 Par 3s ranging from 110-135m, 6 Par 4s ranging from 245-365m and 490m Par 5 7th/16th.

Terrible slow greens but ok fairways. Good for the resort, but do not make a special trip here, play at either Half Moon Bay or Paradise Palms both nearby.

Played here 26/7/06 and paid $18 green fees. Course is hilly, but has too many developments about to enjoy the round.

After playing Palm Cove on the Saturday, I decided to take on the Novotel course on Sunday morning. Whilst it is not an extremely challenging course, it is very pretty with well maintained fairways. It is very short, only requiring a 3 iron and a pitching wedge on most holes. The 9th/18th hole is around 250 metres and my wife mentioned that a few balls had landed in the pool to the left of the green whilst she was swimming. Beware all sunbakers.

I was suprised at how slow the greens were after being woken by the mower on Saturday morning at 6 am outside our roomwhen they were being cut. But then I remembered I was in Cairns and 24 hours growth is quite considerable.

If you are staying at the Novotel or in Palm Cove it is worth playing 9 holes for $18 but not worth travelling any great distance to play.
