This course is a very challenging. I have played here a couple of times but renently discovered new bunkers which have been very well placed. Greens a fairly slow but are in great condition. Fairways are not too bad, could use some water, but then again…so should every other course with this lack of rain. Obviosly work is still being made too the course to make it even more harder, as i sore greenkeepers making more bunkers etc.
The fairways are also very narrow, which makes the course very unforgiving leaving you no room for error.
A course NOT TO BE UNDER-ESTIMATED despite being fairly short.

Nudgee College Golf Club has alot to offer, it is cheap and you are in for a great round of golf. I really liked the tree lining on each hole, makes each hole well presented. Although 1 or 2 holes a fairly short, they can be very horrific and put big numbers on your scorecard if you underestimate those short holes like i did. One thing that really made this course hard was the width of the fairways, the fairways are very narrow and it makes each hole very hard. I thought the best holes on this course was the 3rd, 4th and the 5th. The 9th was also a good hole. I would like 2 see a few more bunkers and maybe a bit more water/dams on the course. But overall, a tough but enjoyable little course. Great Setup !!!

This course is not the "great course" that many are giving it credit for...But it is definately not the "Shocking course" that people are giving it credit for...Yes, there are a fair bit of pathces on the greens, but they are after marks of weeds being pulled out, they will grow back...and the fairways, yes there were again a fair bit of patches, especialy on the first, but they should be sprayed immediately. I have played at this course for some time...about six years...and many people have not realised the improvemnt of the course. It has gotten tougher, it has also gooten more longer...i think it is turning into a more better course, and is improving everyday. I would like to see more hazards...maybe even a bunker on the first hole on the right hand side of the green. Once again this course needs improvemnts, especialy the weeds and patches on the fairways, but it is not terrible the way some people put it.

The course lacks any form of challenge. The fairways are dreadful with patches of rough and dirt in the middle. The greens are worse than the fairways with patches of sand which makes then virtually unplayable. THe only good part of the course is the 9th green

Measuring Par 35 2572m/2623m the course is quite simple, with one 436/452m Par 5 (depends which tee you use). The course is quite basic, and of the 6 courses I played on while in Brisbane, this was one to forget. Greens have many dead patches on them, tee-beds are average, and the fairways were in terrible condition.
Played here 16/2/06 and paid $12 green fees for a weekday 9 holes. No real highlights on the course, but the 7th 250m Par 4 will be somewhat interesting when they push the green 50m back from a creek. If in Brisbane again, probably will skip this course, for a more challenging 9 holes at One Mile.

I would recommend this course to anyone. It is cheap, the course is green and it is a tough track. It has a beautiful tree lining on each hole. The 3rd, 4th and 5th are the signature holes. There are two holes currently under construction and more bunkers being placed on each hole so this course will only get better i would assume.
I have played golf all around Queensland and have played at many different 9 hole courses and this is DEFINATELY the best one so far.
I would reccomend this course to anyone to come and give it a go. A Great little course.

This is a great little course. Ihave been a member of this club for 14 years and club captain for 5 years. when i joined the club 14 years ago the course was quite short and over the years with the help from Nudgee College and Peter Graham green keeper and club captain for 9 years they set out on building this great little coure into what we have today the length is around 5360 metres, with changes to the lay out over the last 8 years, new 1st, 2nd and 3rd fairways over the last 4 years and constrution of two new greens over the last 4 years we are continuing to grow. We are curently construting 2 new greens on the 3rd and 6th holes this will toughen up the course even more than it is now. when i joined 14years ago the membership was $30 dollars cheep as chips and at the time extremly cheep in conparison to other 9 hole clubs in the area. we still are the cheapest club in the area with memberships for 2006 only $375dollars this gets you a agu handicap and a very friendly club with comps 5 days a week the saturday comp is our main comp with around 85 players never crouded and you can always get a game. Green fees for 2006 will be $17 dollars for 18 holes and $12 for 9 holes if your in the area come and give it ago im sure you will be pleasently surprised. my rating above good but im a little bit byas.

I would recommend this course if you were just out for a hit or a learning player its a great little set up its just the geens let the course down they are poor look after with patched and sand on the 3rd witch is bad other than that the fair ways are average i think the 4th and 5th are the best holes tho not my favourite

The Nudgee College course has a lot to recommend it. It is cheap, quiet, and welcoming of beginners. It is not, however, the five star course many reviewers here are claiming.
The course is in very mixed condition. The fourth and fifth holes are certainly the standouts, as their sheltered positions have ensured greens in excellent condition and reasonable fairways, but this contrasts starkly with holes such as the third, where the green is so dry and patchy that predictable putting is impossible. The fairways are generally below par, with hard uneven ground ensuring your ball will bounce every way but that which you expect.
Overall, an enjoyable little course, but five stars? Please.

This course is TOUGH!!! You should not underestimate this course because if u do...you will pay the ultamite price like i did!!! I came hear because one of my friends often comes here to play on this course so i came with him and it is a very nice course...its short too...but very narrow which makes it hard to play!!!
One thing i also really like about this course is that you rarely get a chance to play agressivly...you often have to play safe. Its also got a nice environment because unlike most 9 hole courses it is very green, there is a lot of trees and hazards and aslo fairways and greens seem to be in good condition.
This is a GREAT LITTLE COURSE!!!

Well, I live in Lismore and decided to visit Brisbane to see my Father as there was aslo a horiffic flood as you know. We decided to come and play at Nudgee College Golf Club.
I was very surprised how cheap green fees were as it was only a mere $10. Where I usually play in Lismore Green Fees for Nine Hole Course are not good value...so i didnt know what to expect. We played in a Motorised Buggie and when you drove on the fairways it felt like carpet, greens were like pool tables only they were slow from the rain. The course was very green, it had a nice tree lining and there were no complaints about the course.
I guess it will be the only time i play at this course but if i lived in Brisbane i would want to be a member here as i saw membership is only $350. I would recomend this course to any one...even low handicappers because i play off 10 and i happened to shoot a 81...it is a tough but very nice course.

I've been a junior at Nudgee College for 2 years now, and, over only just two years the course has changed dramatically...but something that has not changed is the atmosphere, everyone gets along, however, their suddenly has been a large growth of A graders at Nudgee College this year and it is getting more competitive. It also is very cheap and you always get what you pay for.
As for the course, like i said it has changed dramatically because of alot of changes to each hole. Greens here are fairly slow and holes can be very decieving. At the moment the course is in very good condition as most courses havent suffered the typical winter drought. I like Nudgee College because sometimes you tend to underestimate it because it is short but it can make your game very eratic.

My son who is in year 11 at Nudgee College does Golf as a HPE subject. He's always tellin me to come and play a round at thier course, and the first time he told me that we should have a round their i said "theres no golf course at Nudgee College" and he replied its behind the school and its a nine hole course. So on the 8th of May i decided to finally give the course a go.
When i got there, we came into a small clubhouse, it had a whole range of equipment hire, a little Proshop with new irons and putters, Precept caps, golf balls etc. I was particularly happy with the cheap Green Fees aswell.
As for the course, it was definately not an Augusta, but having said that, the trees and Fairways were green, the greens were impressive the water hazards made the course even tougher, and tees were well lined on each hole which made it look even more nice. It was alot tougher than i would expect as for nine holes i shot a 43 (i play off 8). All'n'all i think it is the best nine hole course i have played.

Some say this course is good some say it is bad...I say it could still use some improvement despite being only a nine hole course but i must say it is a better course than sandgate!!! Although I was happy with green fees and equipment hire. Fairways are okay, greens are okay but i have heard that this course gets better each year. I know people who are members at this club and their are around 400 members...Which is good for a nine hole course!!!

After reading the previous reviews of this course, seeing a 5 star rating, and having a vacant Easter Monday, I decided to head out and give this course a shot.
On arrival I was surprised to find green fees to be a mere $10, and before I go on, I must say that for that sort of money you get what you pay for, and any golf is good golf ñ right?
As for the course, I felt like I had been set up on a blind date with the ugly cousin. I donít know what the previous reviewers were smoking but I found it to be significantly different. The fairways were baron, the greens were sparse, even with the interesting mix of 4 types of grass. To its credit there are established trees lining most holes although thatís about the only nice thing I can think of.
In the end my gripe does not lay with the course, after all for the money its good value. My gripe lies with the reviews and ratings that have been given to it here. When a course like Nudgee College and Brookwater share the same rating, there has to be a better balance found. I'm not usually a cynical reviewer, I just donít like surprises and like to enjoy my golf somewhere a little more enjoyable.

This course is quite flat, although there are alot of gulleys and mounts and it is pretty short but it's pretty skinny which makes it alot harder...normally if someont heard this they would think "don't bother", but this course is very hard, and as green as a reinforest, sure...its only 9 holes...but where talkin about the toughest nine hole course in this region...maybe even QLD, I have to give it atleast 4 stars!

Nudgee College Golf Course is probably the best nine hole course I have ever played. About 7 years ago it was quite a poor course to play but since then, it has changed dramatically. It is now longer, harder, and holes have changed. Over the last 2 years membership has increased dramatically, they say the club has enough money and land to make another 18 holes. It is cheap, has proper AGU afiliation and is the most up and coming course in Brisbane!

played nine today. orite course. wouldnt go back. good course for social players. greens were poor. tee blocks were even worse. it has gotten better over the past 5-6 yrs though. it is a friendly atmosphere which is good. reasonable prices. the course will only get better and they are trying hard.
