Course has 18 very coarse brown soil greens with large areas of red dirt visible on the dry fairways. Course is pretty open with the only trees near the tiny clubhouse. There are a few storage ponds on the course, which don’t generally come into play.
If you feel like playing on sands the course is not as well-kept as Narromine’s 18 black soil green course which is 55km north of the town. Fees are $5
Peak Hill is a town of around 1000 people at approximately 285m above sea level. The course is a little higher than the town at around 300m above sea level and can be found following Golf Course Road for a 1km east of the Newell Highway. Peak Hill is about 70km southwest of Dubbo and 50km north of Parkes.
