We played the course in the Saturday comp and found it a bit rough. They depend greatly on the winter rains and this year it didn’t rain much. The fairways were rough, so the preferred lie of 1 clublength in use was definitely required. The greens were slow but in reasonable condition. The course is very hilly and there are a lot of blind shots. All in all a disappointing layout in bad condition. If you are in Esperance and need a hit the Esperance Golf Club is much better value for money. Gren fees here were $20 and it is only $25 at Esperance.

Most enjoyable golf course hidden in WA’s south east. Links type, hilly and very addictive. I’ll certainly be back there next holidays.

No crowds, very peaceful – simply magic!

As a beginner golfer this course has proved a real challange, but a most enjoyable one. If your walking the course make sure you ‘slip slop slap’ . There are water tanks on several of the holes and a nice cup of rainwater is very welcome. When your in the rough its tough going, but the fairways are very generous. The club house is a lovely building overlooking the Pink Lake, and Ladies, the toilet facilities are very clean.

Pink Lake golf course is a genuine links course and as such follows the natural contours of the dunes up and down. The grassed fairways are well defined by native trees and bushes with good grass greens. It is a good idea to stay on the fairway as the rough can be very rough..

An outstanding feature is the beautiful stand of Red Flowering Gums between the 11th and 14th fairways.

Although the course length is only 6156Metres it plays longer than that and can be challenging.

We saw a variety of wild life on our rounds including a kangaroo, many birds and lizards including a bearded dragon.

Green fees were very good value at $10/ 9 holes and $20/ 18 holes.

Carts, clubs and buggy hire was available.

I was made very welcome at Thursday "Men's Scroungers" and made some very good contacts who pointed out the local areas of interest.

Don't miss trying this course when visiting the beautiful Esperance.
