Pittwater golf club (Midway point)…. Played there on Sunday the 26th of june 2011 : Another beautiful 9 hole golf course in southern Tassie, the fairways were lush the greens were lush and the tee beds were also lush just dont get off the fairway because there are plenty of trees and bad lies inbetween the fairways, there are a few bunkers to keep you honest on your approach shots to the greens. The members were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The course could do with a map or some better signage because we had no idea where we were going half of the time and it took 4 holes to work out that the signs that said PLEASE REPLACE ALL DIVOTS were 150 meters to the middle of the greens (got to get myself a G.P.S). Some of the greens were huge and some were small but they were all very nice. My favorite hole was the par 4 7th where you can drive the green but you cant see it from the tee (it also has one of the best looking bunkers i have ever seen). The green fees were good at $20 and we will definately be back.

A course that in my view although well maintained, did not make visitors feel welcome. The grumpy old man on the practice putting green was most put out when I asked where the first tee was. There was no map that showed the lay out of the course so on the first 9 we were playing blind. There also were no toilets that were opened or signs to point you in the right direction as to where they were. The green fees were advertised on various sites as being $15 they were $20 on the board at the gate.

Wonderful views and a pretty good golf course to boot.

The course is in excellent condition and offers a reasonable challenge

Very picturesque with three of the nine holes following the waters edge and bird sanctuary; pelican and black swan abound. The course presents extremely well with fairways lush (though not wet) all year round. Six alternate tees are provided for mixing up the back nine. The smallish greens are in excellent condition with a couple of two-tiered greens thrown in. Located on gently sloping ground, walking for all is a breeze. A great challenge and one course that definitely should not be passed by.
