Measures 5764m Par 71 with four par 3s ranging from 139-175m, eleven par 4s ranging from 296-408m and three par 5s ranging from 442-500m. The layout is reasonable given it adjoins Nullica State Forest to the west and houses adjoin the southern boundary.

It must be said the greens were recently cored and when I played here on 12/08/2010 it was in 30-45km/h gusty southwesterlies with horizontal showers coming in…so some greens were unputtable due to the puddles of water on the surface.

The fairways were green but the teeboxes required more work to make them flatter to play off.

The course has many kangaroos that occupy the fairways which is littered by many droppings. The front nine is a little dull, compared to the back nine which is more challenging and scenic.

Highlights include:

  • the 334m 11th with a creek that cuts across the fairway 10m short of the green with a bunker on the right.
  • 390m slight dogleg left 12th with creek along entre leftside from tee to green with a bunker 20m short left of the rear to front sloping green.
  • 444m slight downhill dogleg left par 5 17th with a dam 150m from the green on the left.
  • nice closing 151m par 3 18th over a creek with a bunker short.

It has its slight doglegs, gentle uphill and downhill holes a little water and only 2 bunkerless greens 9th and 10th.

Much better than East Gippsland’s Mallacoota and Orbost so give the southernmost golf course on the NSW seaboard a go!

A solid course in good condition.

The greens are true and the fairways nice and green. It has some visually appealing holes and a glimpse of the ocean from the top of the hill. The course is on the side of a hill and there a couple of killer uphill holes on the back nine.

Ladies in the proshop are excellent.

Very nice woodlands track with some wonderful holes at the top parts of the course. Didn’t play particularly well on the day but came away impressed with the layout and presentation. For me, ranks in the top 3 down this way.

PROS

  • Very appealing visually, fast greens, great variety of holes.

Cons

  • Testing walk for the not so fit.

Great course to play as it is the lesser used by golfers on the Sapphire Coast. Dont let the lack of use fool you – very good course and presented very well – Can always get on the course and enjoy the course without the packed crowds of others nearby courses. A hidden gem.

A well-presented and enjoyable course…not too difficult, even for a high handicapper like me. The greens are anything-but-flat, but really well maintained. The pro is a nice bloke, and will make you very welcome. All-in-all, a great place to visit.

easy cousre from tee to green(providing you hit fairways) but you must watch the greens.if you’ve got a put aim higher than what think. very nice layout and an easy walk making the game very pleasant.

Similar to Bermagui, Eden has a range of holes and undulations that test shot-making and place a premium on ball positioning. I played a couple of rounds and the course is in great condition.

Definitely the course to play if yo are on the lower side of the Sapphire Coast.

Only course I have played where you must pay a fee to get a sand bucket (bring $2 for that).

Played the course a couple of times over the past week being my first trip back for several years. The course was in great nick and is very enjoyable. Greens and fairways in great condition and a very good layout. Enjoyed the course very much. If you're staying on the south coast and have the time you should experience this course if you are going to play yhe others nearby.

Really enjoyed playing here. Nice long par fives and par fours, the course is maintained beautifully typical of your country golf clubs. The back nine works it's way up the gully and the walk can be pretty tough. The greens are in great nick and are real fast go easy when putting. The 12th hole is the toughest on the course 380m par 4 with a dog leg left make sure to play your drive right and open up the green. The green itself is one of the smaller ones on the course and is surronded by bunkers, come away with par here and you have done ok. Three and half stars for me.

Good beer on tap in the club house.
