Measured Par 36 3063m with 2 Par 3s ranging from 145-160m, FIVE Par 4s ranging from 300-410m and 2 Par 5s ranging from 510-530m. Course is fairly easy with undulating, bone-dry brown-yellow fairways, slow upside-down saucerlike grass greens, with not too bad teebeds. This is a country course on a hilly-ish paddock, so donít expect too much. Most holes have good length, but the bunker-green complex is not well planned.
Best holes are probably the145m 8th with a green slightly elevated green with bunkers left and right. The 2 par 5s are not bad to unwind as both T-shots are downhill Par 4s are up-and-back with slight doglegs. No water hazards, or fairway bunkering or even lay-up options. Just hit it straight, and run it up to the green and you are in good shape.
Played here 7/4/06 and paid $10 for 9 holes. It is located out of town and in desperate need for some irrigation and water. There is an honesty box in place for green fees. Clubhouse is only open on Saturdays, I was told by the president, who just happened to arrive when I finished my round.

Time for an update of a course I played and reviewed 6 years ago…still measures 3063m Par 36 with two par 3s ranging from 145-162m, five par 4s ranging from 302-407m and two par 5s ranging from 508-527m.
Course has 9 small-to-medium sized greens which is a mixture of G2/penncross bentgass with fairly lush kikuyu grass surrounding all of its greens. The bentgrass greens do tend to receive couch grass infestation on some greens. The fairways consist of dry kikuyu patches with natural grasses.
The sparsely tree-lined layout is somewhat hilly with a slope towards the road. The soils are quite shallow with shale underneath the layout which is why you see brownish tinge to the grass – even after all the good rain. The teebeds are quite flat and consist mostly of kikuyu grass. There are 3 bunkers on the course.
1st-508m is slightly downhill with a fairway bend to the right to a 20m long green
2nd-302m slightly uphill with the Werris Creek Road OOB far left to a 20m long 2-tier front-sloping green
3rd-407m with a teeshot adjacent to the car park with a slight bend right and slightly downhill like the 1st hole. There is a small red-staked pond 30m short right in the rough.
4th-162m with a 20m wide front portion of the green and a narrower 10m wide at the rear of the green is guarded by a bunker front left. Quite a good par 3 hole.
5th-354m slight bend left and slightly uphill to a 20m long bunkerless green
6th-346m slight bend right and slightly downhill to 20m long bunkerless green
7th-312m slight bend left and slightly uphill to another 20m long bunkerless green
8th-145m is probably the best hole on the course. Requires a teeshot to the leftside of the green as the right is guarded by 2 bunkers. The green also gently slopes to the front right portion of the green.
9th-527m is probably the best par 5 on the course. Requires a teeshot along the rightside with a left-sloping fairway off the tee and 2 trees within the leftside of the fairway also off the tee. There are 3 trees on the rightside of the dogleg right corner all on the fairway edge. The 25m long green has rather steep banks on the rightside of the green.
Course access is from Werris Creek Road about 5km north of the town centre approximately 420m above sea level.
Quirindi is a town of around 3000 people about 15km north of the New England Highway/Kamilaroi Highway junction and about 65km south of Tamworth and 1 hour north of Scone.
Played here again recently on 11th April 2012 with $10 green fees. The locals are quite proud of their course and the fact that they have grass greens. They do have a full-time greenskeeper which is great to see in the smaller towns.
