RAAF Base Tindal is 17kms from Katherine and 320kms by road south-east of Darwin in the Northern Territory. Although the airfield was constructed in 1942, it is the Air Force’s youngest operational base (excepting bare bases) and one of Australia’s most important defence installations.

Not surprising, given where this course is, that it is fairly dry. 9 holes that is fairly short but challenging nonetheless. Worth playing if you are down Katherine way. Be aware the greens are normal grass, and although groomed and clipped, are a bit rough and slow. I doubt bent grass survives too well in this part of the world.
