Richmond Valley (public) What a little ripper………..
Played there on Sunday the 16th of October in terrible weather but the course was nice, $15 green fees and club hire if you need them for $10 also the shop sells food drinks and grog. Richmond Valley is a par 70 and quite easy (even if the greens were only just cored & sanded) it has a nice mix of easy par 4s and some tricky par 3s to go with the little par 5 2nd. My favourite hole was the last hole only because i hit the fence behind the green on the full ! oh and some of the pin placements were a bit silly (the one on the 7th was only 4 feet of the back of the green) what ever happened to the 3 meter rule ???? all in all Richmond Valley is worth a game or two with your friends, just pick some nice weather and go for it !!!!!!!!

Played this early Feb – $12 for 18 holes was excellent value. On a weekday the Course was deserted, saw one other golfer the entire round. Course is a typical country track, greens are just okay. Fairways average, although as they are quite hard you get good ’roll’ on your shots. There are only 9 holes so you go around twice, most of the holes have a different teeing area for the ’back’ nine.

Can’t complain one bit about a $12 round! Lovely setting in the Richmond area with some good scenery.

If you take your clubs to Tassie, this Course is definitely worth a look.
