How times have changed. Green fees are now $50 for 18 and $25 for 9 holes.

I had a quick front 9 today this afternoon. Course is in very good shape. Superb fairways, teebox. Greens are only going to get better, and was consistent. Fairways are nice and allow one to take out the driver and have a crack most holes.

Overall a very pleasant quick 9. Will return for a few more and make advantage of the day-light saving.

Measures 5975m Par 73 from the back plates with 5 Par 3s ranging from 145-180m, 7 Par 4s ranging from 295-380m and six Par 5s ranging from 410-530m. Greens were not overly wuick but true teebeds were ok, but the fairways were poor. Even with no rain, being located close to the river, so seepage here is a problem, as the fairways were too wet, with more time being taken to wipe mud off the ball rather than striking the ball.

Best attributes are the well-bunkered par 3s and the view from the clubhouse, which was quite stunning. As for hole higlights the 323m Par 4 7th stands out with the green sloping to the water at the front with bunkers guarding the left and right sides. A lay-up option is required on the 2nd shot for shorter hitters. Probably the best hole in terms of thought and challenge on the course.

Some Par 5s could easily be Par 4s as length was very short. The course lacked challenge in some areas, but maybe I am being harsh, but I would prefer some 9-holers around than playing here again.

Played here 17/7/06 and paid $28 green fees and was not overly impressed with the course. Could do with more hazards and options off the T.
