I played The south course today and thought it was good but not great.
The course is in immaculate condition..all the tees and fair ways were excellent and the greens ran quick and true. My hat goes off to the greens keeper and his team.
The only reason it wasn’t great was because it was pretty boring. The course is very very flat and all the holes seem to play exactly the same way. All the par 3s were very similar in length (140-150m) except 1 which was 191m. And the par 4s all felt like you had already played the hole before.
No water comes into play at all and although there are quite a few bunkers, only a few of the fairway bunkers really put up a battle.
This course is still a challenge but becomes monotonous by the time you are the time you are at the 13th hole.
I dont think it is quite worth the $40 midweek fees just because it has no wow factor.
If someone offers you a round there by all means take it but I think if your paying, definitely pay the little extra and drive up the road to The Dunes.
PROS
- Imacculately presented
- Great Facilities
- Easy on the legs
Cons
- Very Flat
- Fairly boring

This course is always entertaining as you have many variations of the 36 hole course to play and always offers a new challenge very time you play it. Big hitters have fun here and even though I am not a big hitter and never use a driver I can still manage a par or better. The Ninth and 18th hole on any of the course variations brings you back to the clubhouse with magnificent views and facilities. The greens are very difficult,in that they are uneven in all cases, flag positions are always to the challenge of the golfer and make putting a particularly hard challenge. Club members are always particularly polite and easy to talk to.This course gives me great pleasure every time I play there.

Not a bad course, but not terrific either. It offers a choice of two courses, which means you should get a game on most days. You may find it quite busy, though – especially as the courses inter-twine, and finding the right tee can get a bit hard.
However, the greens are something else. Infuriatingly quick – putting on a slanting glass pane most of the day. Putt to hard downhill, dont be surprised to just miss the cup, before witnessing an agonising 30 second clip of your ball meandering its way off the green and into a bunker.
PROS
- Good condition
Cons
- Busy
- Ridiculously fast greens
- Confusing tees

Play regularly, course is in best condition that members have seen, thanks to the smart decision 20 years ago to use recycled water from sewerage farm.
The rude pro & lady in proshop have both left. The current pro & teaching pro are fantastic & the "lady" who now works in the shop is one of the friendliest you will meet.
They now have on course accomodation which is proving to be very popular.

I had the pleasure of being invited to play at this course on the 29th of October 2004. We played the East course in overcast and cool conditions with a 20kph wind from the south east. The fairways, greens and bunkers were in excellent condition and throughout the entire round (mid afternoon Friday) we were not held up on a tee or pushed from behind. One thing I did notice however was the lack of signs on tees indicating hole number, distance etc. The course is undulating with enough dog legs and intruding trees to make it interesting and a challenge. The only down side to the whole day was the reception we received when paying our green fees at the pro shop. The resident Golf Pro was abrasive in his manners and the "lady" assisting him was down right rude when asked several reasonable questions. I would however return again despite this hiccup and recommend the corse and facilities as value for money.

Play there often and last time was 4 weeks ago.
A great set of 36 holes, although navigating the layout can be a little confusing. The old course is just sensational, the newer of the courses is good. The greens and bunkers are always great.
Enjoyable for all levels of golfer and stands up well in poor weather. Plenty of interesting dog-leg holes and some sneaky hazards across the front of some greens. Good club house and kitchen for a meal and drink afterwards.
If you don't enjoy this track you are hard to please. If on a budget best check the fees before you head down, they are starting to creep up.

This course is something different to the other local courses in the Peninsula. This is a flat parkland style course, but don't be fooled by this. This course is an excellent test with a variety of very attractive holes cut through pine trees and natives.
A superb finish on the composite with holes 15 thru 18 are real beauties and are a good finish here. There are 36 holes to choose from here but I urge you to try the composite par 71 course.
Greens were medium to fast and fairways were of fine couch variety.

A delightful course. Played the south-east course and didn’t find it boring at all. In excellent condition.
