This is a great country course and was in better condition than I expected. It is a 16 hole course with the 1st and 2nd becoming the 17th and 18th. The course has some long holes which challenge you to get on in regulation. A mixture of wide fairways and some tight ones (close to the boundaries). Wallabies share the course. Unfortunately Mackay has been in drought for a while so the fairways were a bit short on the grass side of things however it rained for the 4 days I was in Mackay, so things should be better. The greens are in very good condition. They could introduce more bunkers at driving distances and surrounding the greens, to increase the difficulty of the course.
The price is fantastic too.. Just over $10 for 18 holes.
