Played here today and was pleasantly suprised. Course was in great condition besides the 10th green which is under repair. As i’m teaching my wife to play this course couldn’t be more perfect and was great for my short game too. Staff were very freindly and helpful and locals having a bash happily let us play through.
Worth a hit

As a kid i grew up playing sefton and still played it till i was about 17. I havnt been there for a few years seeing as i havnt been golfing but it was always i beautifull course, great to learn on and great to perfect your short iron game.

The greens where always in good condition with some well placed bunkers to catch those way ward tee shots and not a bad challenge to get out of in some cases.

fairways are always nice but the rough isnt all that hard to get out of considering its pretty short and there generally isnt far to get.

favourite holes are probably the 18th and 8th and 9th. the 8th is a great challenge if your tee shot it to long giving you a nice uphill shot back onto the green. the 9th is always fun mostly if the trees are over grown a bit to narrow your shot at the green. the 18th is nice because its just a long straight hole but generally needs some accuracy a hook will put you into a lake and slice will put you into the rough with a slight gulley probably the thickest rough on the course to.

all in all a great little course a pleasure to play and an awesome learnign course for beginners, its never crowded and doesnt take long so even on hotter days your in and out before getting to dehydrated.

Being a junior who is still a learner an all par 3 course which costs $9 for 18 holes sounds pretty good. As soon as I teed off I knew this was going to be a good morning of golf. The course is very well maintained and its nice to walk past the sprinklers on a hot day. Plenty of bunkers and a few big lakes on the sides of the rough. The bunkers on the 14th and 15th were quite challenging if the ball was hit too hard or too soft. Hardly anyone else on the course so if your a beginner you can take your time. Finally the staff are very friendly and helpful. Really nice course and i will certainly be back soon.

Great course to practice with the short irons. The small greens make for careful chipping but putting isn’t much of a strain. Otherwise an attractive course.

Played Sefton in the middle of a long weekend with no trouble getting to the course, and very friendly locals. The course is a real golf course, not a pitch’n’putt, and whilst it isn’t very hard, it is interesting, with a range of holes from 90m to about 180m. Since 18 holes takes about 2 hours, I fould this to be an enjoyable, cheap and fun course when time is limited. Its well-maintained too, which is important for a council-owned course (compared with, for example, the Parramatta goat track).

The perfect course to fine tune your short game and mid irons,or if your a beginner.

18 holes, all par 3’s ranging from 90m to 180m.

Good greens and fairways and usually no trouble getting on anytime during the week.

I believe this course is a good course for beginners and to improve your short irons off the tee. Course could be improved with slightly bigger greens but that would take some of the character of this course away.

It's good for practice your chipping and pitching. The greens are small and uneven. Much challenge than Hudson Park GC. The 18th hole is the most scenic with clubhouse invert reflection in a lake. It costs $16.5 for weekend.

Played here 15/3/06 and played off back white plates, and it only measured 2539m Par 54 with all Par 3s ranging from 100-190m. But it is not to be underestimated. A few things you should know, is that if you miss the green off the T, you will find it hard to par the hole, as you find yourself trying to chip into the bank of the green (most greens are small upside down saucer-like greens that run off around the edges) just to stop the ball from rolling off the green again.

If you need to work on your short game, this is probably the place to do it or Hudson Park. The greens were surprisingly in good condition for the amount of beginners that frequent this course. Bunkers protect about half of the greens on the course. For other reviewers, you only get bad lies for bad shots as I did not receive any bad lies, except when in trees on 15th!

However it does lack a challenge and options off the tee, with similar clubs used off most holes. Most holes are treelined both sides are straight and flat. Average length is 141m with 6 holes between 150-60m, so it can become a little mundane. The closing two holes are probably the most scenic, with a lake running along the 137m 17th green and all along the left side of the 127m 18th hole. Great facilities for a small council owned course, includes: 3 driving nets, chipping green, putting green and a small clubhouse. Weekdays after 3pm it costs $10 for as many holes as you like, and they have scratched the paying for sand buckets too! 3.5 stars

An accurate tee shot is crucial. Most Greens are small and elevated. Not bad for a par 3 course

This mostly par 3 course gives public courses a bad name. Not as easy as it looks, but for all the wrong reasons.

If you are going to have greens as tiny as this, they should at least be flat, if not inverted. Instead, the tiny greens are mostly hard mounds that cannot retain anything but the softest balls (balls not usually in possession of players who frequent this course), so players are forced to play short and hope they don't get a bad bounce, which is most of the time.

More a measure of luck than skill, this course rewards and punishes for all the wrong reasons.

Most greens are elevated making tee shots a premium. Great little course to begin with, also offers AGU status with not too many members therefore giving you plenty of chance to play in Saturday morning comps. Good little course to work on your short game. Suprisingly good greens.

On of the better thought out par 3 courses in sydney. Not too difficult for starters and still good fun for more skilled. Longest hole 180mts.

Silly paying for sand buckets though.

Par 3 course, good for beginners. Not much challenge, but better than other par 3 courses in the south of Sydney, like Tree Valley.
