Singleton Golf club is situatied in the heart of the town and is surrounded by public roads and houses (so you'd better not stray). It's only 9 holes, but with different tee positions if you choose to go round a second time. The course is pretty flat with a creek and dam running through the middle of the course, which come into play for some hole's landing areas. Most greens are bunkered and in good nick. If you keep it straight, there's not much of a challenge. Mostly Par 4's with one Par 5 and 3 Par 3's. I've played on much worse public courses. In all a pleasant course that's good for a social game.

Played the course today 26/1/11, whilst the fairways were brown and dry there was still a good covering of grass across the course with very few bare patches. Tees were ok and the greens were in good condition as the water has been kept up to them. Most fairways are lined with a few trees but there is no natural rough to loose your ball, and I didnt find the creek that runs through the course come into play unless you hit a bad shot. Fourth hole Par 4 (426mtrs) probably the strongest of the holes requiring two long straight shots followed by the 9th a Par 3 at 177mtrs, as long as you hit straight the bulk of holes are not challenging. I thought the green fees of $18 for 9 holes a bit expensive for what you get, $24 for 18.
