The course has a good layout with a generous arrangement of pine trees lining each hole. The grass greens are in good condition and are watered from the nearby dams. Fairways are generally layered with a good amount of grass in the picturesque surroundings.
The course relies on an honesty system for players who want to use the course, as the clubhouse in usually unmanned.

Measures 2648m Par 34 with three par 3s ranging from 117-220m, five par 4s ranging from 293-352m and the 466m Par 5 straight slightly uphill 9th.
Course is in poor condition with greens slow and ridden with patchy dirt with teebeds and fairways bumpy with dirt/weedy lies. There are no bunkers on the course. Alternate front/back nine tees are located either on the same teebed or within 40m of each other. No surprises.
Holes worthy of mention include: the 293m slight dogleg left 1st with OOB left and a small dam 50m short right of the green, the long 220m Par 3 2nd, the 352m 3rd with OOB fence left of the treeline has a lateral creek hazard across the fairway 100m from the green, the 380m dogleg right 6th/15th is treelined with a 50m wide fairway.
The 117m 7th has a sandscrape green currently in play which is in awful condition.
Played here 21/11/2010 with $10 green fees. Located on Geelong Road (C143) about 30 minutes southwest of Ballarat via the Glenelg Hwy (B160)for a town of around 500 people it is the only grass green course in the area – apart from Lismore which is equally in poor condition.
