Measures 6258m Par 72 with three par 3s ranging from 123-199m, twelve par 4s ranging from 302-403m and three par 5s ranging from 463-507m.

As mentioned the course offers basic golf facilities. The 123m 9th has a grass green, however, this will be no longer. The club wishes to rip out the grass green and re-instate all 18 greens as black soils.

The course has 18 black diesel-oiled greens with dirt fairways with synthetic turf mats used as an option to play off the fairways only. The course is only slightly better condition than Menindee as there is some grass around the clubhouse but not much here other than basic golf facilities. Fees are $6 for 18 holes.

Course is accessed on Jamieson Street off Bonanza Street about 4km south of the CBD in the suburb of South Broken Hill.

Broken Hill is a well-reknowned mining city of around 20000 people at approximately 300m above sea level in the Barrier Range.

‘Crackerdust Country Club’ as it is known in Broken Hill, is all dirt, except for synthetic grass tees & a recently ill-conceived square couch grass green 18th. The rest of the course – fairways, rough, scrapes – are all dirt.

Before 1992, when the “North” course was grassed, the South course was where most of the town’s good golfers played. Those days, however, are long gone.

If you want to play golf, drive 8km to the “North” Country Club on the other side of town & play one of Australia’s best country courses. If not, go up the road to the Napredak Club & play Bocce & drink beer.
