This course is well established, a well stocked and organised pro shop and excellent greens and fairways. They obviously look after their greenkeeper.
Its not a long course and mid handicap players should feel good reaching greens in reg with some straight shooting.
No real water to think about and some testing par threes. Overall a good, well laid out and relatively easy course. The drought doesn't help but it looked in good condition.

The more traditional GC of Tamworth (Longyard is a more links-style). Tamworth measures 5957m Par 70 with 10 Par 4s, 5 Par 3s and 3 Par 5s. All par 5 measure over 500 metres from the back blue tees. Par 3s measure 140-190m.
A good course with well-maintained greens and narrow tree-lined fairways. The best holes are the 6th with the huge dam coming into play. Hazards include water (2nd, 6th) and many bunkers both fairway and green-protected over the course. Par 4s demand accuracy and a well-catered proshop and clubhouse at the 19th allows for a refreshing break after the dry Tamworth heat.
Come along and pay $25 visitor/social green fees 7 days for 18 holes.
