Breakers Country Club (formerly known as Terrigal Memorial Country Club) measures 2523m Par 33 with three par 3s ranging from 127-161m and six par 4s ranging from 295-380m.

The course is not very well-maintained with patchy fairways, dirt-ridden teebeds and slow bumpy greens. The course has 18 bunkers with all greens guarded by at least one bunker. The course conditioning is a real disappointment with inconsitent speed and too many dead patches on the greens and fairways to enjoy a round of golf.

The course is located on a flat floodplain with a natural creek which runs into Terrigal Lagoon. Water does come into play on 5 holes, however, reasonable ball-strikers will not find this course challenging.

Holes worthy of mention include, the 370m straight 5th (rated the hardest) has tall trees on both sides of the fairway to a green guarded by a bunker short right; 153m 6th has a temporary green in play with a bunker guarding the green short left; 380m slight dogleg left 7th has the natural creek on the right from 200m out of the tee with a bunker guarding the green on the right. Apart from the 5th the holes have a sameness about them.

Played here 2 April 2011 and paid $17 green fees. Located near Terrigal Beach about 10km east of Gosford CBD, it is more suited for the less frequent or beginner golfers. I’d rather play tennis or bowls at this club than play 9 holes of golf here again.

This course is a real test, very narrow with a lot of water, OOB etc to catch even the slighest mishit off the tee. I have been a member here for years and it is fair to say Terrigal is not “fun”, Par 33 makes a tough scoring challenge but it does improve your game. Slicers will hate it with hazards, OOB on the right hand side of almost every hole

The greens and fairways were due for a cut today, and the opposite was happening. All day there were trucks, carts and hoses on the greens. I happened to hit a hose and have my ball run off the green twice. Quite disappointing

Terrigal Memorial Country club Boast two bowling greens, two tennis courts ,a 9 hole golf course and probly the best club house on the central coast .

The club has just got council approval for the Wayne Grady upgrade .The couse will remain a 9 hole course .

The main concern was water storage .By moving the holes around the Grady group has planned some big dams running off the creeks that run through the course .

Final touches to the plans are almost completed and work will not commence till approx. 2006.

The course at present is in very good shape and is very challanging to the average golfer.

Affectionly known as "Royal Terrigal" the course derserves a better rating .Being only 9 holes knocks it back a bit .

Six par four's and three par three's

Hit straight or suffer.

Although only a 9 holer, Royal Terrigal as it is called has become a short, but well respected course around the Central Coast. Plans are currently in place to stretch the course to include a par 5.

However, men and particularly women golfers are welcome and comps are played nearly every day. The friendly pro team lead by Scott Cubis are always available to help and games at short notice are possible.

The signature hole is probably the par 3 fourth which is bounded by trees on the left and a creek to the right and around 160 metres to a hole with bunkers at the front and side - a wayward tee shot leads to big problems and so the straight hitters get rewarded.

Maybe I'm biased as a member here but most of the players are friendly, there is an abundance of retired people and like at most places they always want to help.
