There are 18 tiny black soil greens with patchy dry fairways and open during the winter months. Most holes are straight like the 431m Par 5 1st with no bunkers.
The course is accessed following Urana Street past the shops for 2km (about 1km before the The Rock Hill Reserve) the course is on the left. Basic golf facilities here.
The Rock is a town of around 900 people at approximately 220m above sea level more famous for The Rock Hill which sits 570m above sea level (or 350m above the Riverina plains below) and is only 6km west from the town centre on the road past the golf club and on the way to Lockhart.
The nearest full length 18 hole grass green courses are in Wagga Wagga which is about 30km north-east from The Rock along the Olympic Highway.
