Trentham Golf Club attracts many members from both the Trentham and wider Macedon Ranges district, however a large proportion travel from the western side of Melbourne.
With the renovations of the last decade, and being in the midst of a popular weekend tourist destination, the course is becoming increasingly popular with social golfers, including veterans groups.
The club has acquired a reputation for good conditioning and quality greens in a picturesque setting.

I played here on Saturday 30th July.
Really great little course. Don’t have a bad word to say about it. Really nice setting, picturesque, and well maintained.
Course was in great condition, especially considering the amount of rain of late.
Not a long course but its pretty tight and punishing on anything wayward. Doesn’t take much to end up on the wrong fairway, as I found out quite a few times.
Greens were all quite slow, but ran at consistent speed on all 18 holes. They were excellently maintained and free of plug marks.
Course moved smoothly and freely at a great pace. Never felt rushed or delayed. Played as a group of two. Started just before 9am and was done by 12.30, including a little pit stop after the 10th. All the locals were friendly and bigger groups regularly called us through.
It is well worth the trip from Melbourne, and at $25 for the round you’ll struggle to find better value for money.
