Not a bad course. Few too many hills for my liking but thats because i’m an unfit bugger. Greens were not in the best shape but all in all its a good course. Prices are pretty good too. $20 for 18 holes, lunch and a drink on Fridays, you cant go wrong.

Measures 5502m Par 70 with five par 3s ranging from 143-180m, ten par 4s ranging from 240-394m and three par 5s ranging from 415-530m.

Course is sparsely tree-lined with a few hills and sloping fairways to climb. Currently there is a mix of kikuyu/couch fairways in reasonable condition, football field quality rough, patchy bumpy mix kikuyu/couch teebeds and tiny slow, bumpy greens.

Two of the three par 5s here are extremely short and unchallenging and apart from the opening 6 holes the course is reasonably short and weak…however, I felt the par 3s were quite varied and reasonably challenging with bunkers to avoid.

Course has only 22 bunkers with most on the back nine. The 7th, 8th and 15th seemed to share one large fairway and without a glance at the scorecard I wouldn’t know where to hit to.

Greens are small with the 9th, 10th and 18th greens ridiculously tiny. A few new couch teebeds makes it feel like a better golf course than it really is. The front nine is, by far, more challenging than the back nine.

Highlights include: the 177m 4th (index 6) to a large undulating green guarded by 3 bunkers on the left, the 364m dogleg right 5th (index 3) with dam on the right from the tee to 100m out of green guarded by 2 bunkers short with a fairway bunker 110m out from green on the left to avoid, the 151m slightly uphill 6th (index 15) to a large 2 tier right sloping green guarded by 2 bunkers short and the 530m straight 16th (index 8) which is slightly downhill from 200m out of the green guarded by bunker rightside and with Newmans/Jerrys Creek wrapping around behind and to the right the green.

Played here 20/03/2011 and paid only $20 green fees. Not a bad course but its greens are tiny and slow. Good clubhouse and friendly staff.

Played here late June and I must say that the greens were pretty average. Apparently they are a hell of a lot better than they were, and I think the green staff are keep them a little furry to protect from frost. That said, the layout is interesting, except the 14th, where some thought really needs to be put in to resolve the fairway issue. And I think the 10th hole could do with a larger green. Otherwise, a pleasant walk.

I’m a local to this course & now that quite a lot of money has been spent on this course, which makes it worth a visit, however there are still a few holes that require a bit of work to make the course great.
All up this is a good course that is let down by its club house
I still like to play there however

An interesting course undergoing reconfiguration on the first nine.

Wallacia Golf course is a good course which has the ability to challenge all levels of players. The front nine was quite short but still had its own challenges. The back nine is alot better than the front nine as it is longer and more suited for the big hitter and you have a little more room to move. This course overall requires great accuracy to score well and is not reccomended for the "hacker" of the ball. This course is a neat Golf course which has its own unique challenges like the tough greens which can trouble all types of golfers. This course overall gave me a good day of golf apart from the Loud and disturbing music playing from the pub at the front of the course which upset my game a little.Mainly a neat quality couse which shows the amount of time poured into the club...

Apart from the view the course is pretty good for juniors like myself.. shot a 71 (par 67) last weekend there in a social game and wasnt hitting them overly good. Back nine is so much better than front nine it isn't funny. Overall a good course in good condition considering its proximity to Warragamba Dam

The verdict is still out for me on this course, I have played it several times and I really want to like it but I am waiting for the condition of the course to improve, the new holes are good but I thought they bought them in too soon as the greens don't seem to have taken, we played in the tuesday comp ( a super tuesday apparently) and was far from impressed with the pin positions (some cases 3 feet from the edge of greens on severe slopes), one hole I put it above the hole by 2 feet and on extremely slow greens watched my ball sail 30 feet past the hole of the front of the green, not really what you want if you are trying to attract people to play your course, I will give it another go for sure hopefully I will find a way to like it.

Overall I was really pleased with this golf course the hole numbers do match up now and the new holes at the course are brillient with great tee boxs and new bunkers they are quality. The course is a bit hilly and has a fair few trees but there are not to many hazards which is great to most golfers the prices are not rediculous and you don't have to be a long hitter to post a good score but the the greens are small and hard to hit and looked like they can be very fast and tricky at times aswell and the people are also really nice in the area all in all a great course which once fully developed with the whole course being new holes it will be an even better course. Great for kids also and a course that really would suit juniors I was very happy with the course$$$!

Only $11 midweek for 2 if you have the golf course guide! Reasonably hilly, so a cart would help on hot days. Decent condition in all departments, although changes to the layout have not been correctly marked - hole numbers do not match up with the score card, and the layout is less than intuitive - worse because no map is given on the scorecard either. Played 10 out and 8 in !? Anyway, nice looking course & well looked after even in drought conditions - expect a few dry patches here and there, though. Was expecting much less in this location (although I guess Warragamba Dam is just up the road...). Definitely worth the drive and the price of admission.

New holes will add great depth to this great social course. 19th hole is a great old pub.
