A quick update that the greens (including the infamous 13th) are now in excellent condition. Course looks a treat and a superb pro shop.

Played this course on the weekend and found it a very enjoyable course. It was still a little wet in places after the recent bad weather but the course was in excellent condition. The only downfall for the day was a temporary green in the thirteenth as the main green is being rebuilt once you got to the temp green it could take anywhere between 1 and 5 putts to get it in. The greens in general were in good condition but very inconsistent in roll.

Measures 5866m Par 71 with 4 Par 3s ranging from 130-195m, 11 Par 4s ranging from 290-410m and 3 Par 5s ranging from 465-500m. Par 4s are generally missing a challenge apart from the dogleg right 408m 13th index 3 with OOB over the back of green and along right of fairway.

Typical country course, with inverted greens guarded by minimal bunkering. Fairways were lush, trimmed close and played true. Greens had hardly any pitch marks one, which was great to see.

Best holes are the 13th and 466m Par 5 dogleg right 17th with 5 small dams along right side of fairway from 150m out of green, with creek on left, so your 2nd shot needs to be in good position.

Played here 25/9/06 and paid $10 after 2pm for weekday round, otherwise it is $25 a round. Course just had Pro-am and was in excellent condition, nice first-time experience, and extremely friendly members that insisted on me playing it from the plates.Course can become a little boring, especially the older front nine, whcih is just up and down with no real challenges been asked from the keen golfer. That said, must give it a go, as the greens are true to read.

As mentioned on other reviews for a country course, great club house and pro shop facilities.

With the introduction of fairway watering since earlier reviews the course is in great condition particularly for winter. Should be great in spring. Not a champioship course by any means but a good challenging track all the same.

Fairways are generous and rough is quite light although there are plenty of trees and some water if you stray.

Greens are are very true and with the exception of the 13th in very good condition. There are some very tricky slopes on some of the back 9 greens.

If you are in the area you could do well to play in the Thursday comp, but make a booking - this course is popular.

I have always found the greens on the Wauchope course to be relatively true to putt on. The generaly flat greens will reward bold putters who get the ball up to the hole.

The faiways are undulating and wide. Plenty of room to lash out with the driver. Well lined by pine and gum trees and rough rough the fairways are the place to stay.

The Club house is friendly and a welcome watering hole on a hot and humid summer's day.

The Wauchope course is one that should challenge and please most golfers. It is generally in good condition and has a range of holes through both flat and undulating ground. The Pine trees add a level of difficulty as only pine trees can ( when you get stuck under them) and the club house would have to be one of the best on the mid north coast. They can certainly thank whoever burnt the old clubhouse down opportunely some years back, because they now have a facility that provides golfers, bowlers and the general community with a great place to socialise

Had a round there recently in the Thursday comp. The greens were very slick. Fairways were in surprisingly good condition considering the drought.

The course was interesting a couple of the par 3's were challenging with their small greens. In all was a pleasurable experience.

The bistro was excellent. The place is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

This is a quiet but open course with elevated tees and excellent greens.

Because of the drought it's a bit dry but for the general player who wants to hit out, Wauchope is a good country course.

Locals have it most mornings but around lunch it's fairly free.

Not overly exciting but if you like shorter par 4 and 5's then try it.

A fairly flat course with minor water problems.

The club house is great, excellent bistro with T bones best buy.
