Can understand the differing points of view on this course. If you are looking for immaculate fairways, slick greens and chardonnay with lunch, go elsewhere. However the fairways are pretty bloody good and this visitor didn’t bother with the preferred lies available.
The greens are soft underfoot but faster than expected with plenty of nasty slopes to catch the unwary. Front nine is clever and has a few surprises if you get carried away. Don’t let that fence on the 8th put you off.
You can let rip on the back but wait until you have suffered on the 11th green (keep right). In short, good fun and who said roos are endangered? The locals are spoilt and know it! The Relic.

An interesting course which is maturing rapidly, helped by good seasonal rains. There is enough variety to satisfy golfers of all levels and those who play it for the first time and play to their handicap may feel well pleased with themselves.Outstanding holes are the third(a dogleg par 5), the fifth( a short par 4), the 8th(a long par4 with out of bounds and water hazard) and the short par3 11th. The16th, 17th and 18th provide a stern finish. Play it—-you’ll enjoy it!

its been a couple of years since my last round and the firstt time ive played the whole 18 hole layout.its still developing and will be a gem in 20 odd years time when the course starts to take on maturity. i throughly enjoyed my round the greens where slick as.i love the length of the course and my game benefits from playing long courses. not a difficult track to walk and is a delightful day out. woopi golf club is the only proper course between grafton and coffs so if you love a beer after the game and you are staying in woopi it is the place to play.

You will find this course an easy 20 mins drive North of Coffs Harbour.
It now can now boast a full 18 holes, most of which are reasonably interesting in design.
It always feels to me like a work in progress though.
The greens are ordinary, weeds here and there and are not real even.
The fairways have a sandy base and preferred lies are usually in place.
There are also some interesting local rules that come into play on some fairways.
Kangaroos are everywhere and the bird activity is great making it an enjoyable walk.
The 11th is an interesting Par 3 of around 150m’s, you tee off behind a massive lily lined pond to a 3 tiered green. A shot coming to rest on the wrong tier can make for a very interesting putt!!
A good place for a game, but don’t expect too much.

Very young golf course. I played there in October 2006 and found it a little disappointing. Some holes are not great, and yet others are a real delight. I look forward to playing there again, but not for a few years until it matures a bit more. The scenery is very pleasing and the wildlife is amazing. Worth a look, but there are better in the area.

This is a very good golf course that just keeps getting better as it grow. The magnificent green staff do a fantastic job and it it is even equiped with a pro shop that is now open 7 days. The greens are fantastic at the moment, rolling very true and the new holes are awesome creating a challenge for all golfers.T he scenery is also spectacular with kangaroos everywhere to enhance your enjoyment of the game. The fairways arent as lush as most courses but are improving day by day. FANTASTIC

To find this delightful course take the Safety Beach turnoff, north of Woolgoolga. The course is on the left as you drive in. The course is a basic yet beautiful course. The greens are reasonably true and not too fast, fairways are lush. There are numerous kangaroos taking up residence around the course which makes for a great stroll in the bush. Don't expect championship course service, do expect friendly, country atmosphere.

This course started out by a rich yank who built nine holes and a club house then ran out of money. Since then wolgoolga rsl has taken over and has built up a sadly laking course. Now has 14 holes and plans for more. Greens have come on well, some badly planned holes have been redesigned and present a great challenge, the place has a way to go but lots of good work has been done. After saying that, talked to few single figure handicapped players and they have said they have had a tough day out playing this track. Since last played five new holes added, good length par four s and five and a tricky par 3 near the highway. Good place for a game only will get better with maturity.3 stars.

played again over christmas/new year.
my only real critisim is the 18th green,it has a wicked right to left slope, you can be penalised here after hitting good approch shot.
