Woomera or "Saltbush Meadows" measures 5316m Par 70 with four par 3s ranging from 95-189m, twelve par 4s ranging from 273-419m and two par 5s ranging from the 446m 6th and the 458m 16th.

Simply an unique course and town to visit! The course hosts the Eldo Desert Classic which is named after a pub. The course has 18 brown soil scrapes with the entire course just all sand and dirt. Barely basic golf facilities and fees are $3.
The clubhouse is a former light plane hangar and course access is along a 500m long dirt road about 5km north of the town between the airport and the town centre.

The course looks like a sand dune complex and you have got to love the sign on the 1st synthetic grass tee mat "keep off the grass" as grass is actively discouraged.
Holes are mostly straight like the 291m 1st (index 8) and because of the conditions you have an option to take a synthetic grass mat to play off. Exception is the 419m Par 4 dogleg left 9th (index 1) which finishes beside the clubhouse.

Woomera has around 450 people approximately 165m above sea level in the hot desert climate and is about 75km (or 45 minutes) south of Roxby Downs.
