Yeppoon Golf & Country Club

Rockhampton, QLD | User Rating: Rate-3 (3.5) | Add A Review

A very pleasant picturesque course inhabited by many kangaroos which are quite tame and generally unpertubed by caring golfers. The on-course dam is home to much wildlife such as Pelicans, Ducks, Shags and Fish. Also many species of birdlife abound amongst the trees on this delightful golf course.

This is a fairly short course for Men, Par 71, rating 69. Most of the Womens tees are on the same tee block as the men so not quite so short, Par 72, rating 72.

The course is a resonable country course, but has too many doglegs on short holes. The fairways were in reasonable condition and the greens were slowish, but rolled well. One tip for putting on this course is that most greens run towards the old railway line, even if it doesn’t look like it. The grain also runs that way so you can get quite a variation in putting speeds.

We played in the Sunday Comp and it cost us $20 per player, so good value for money. It is an easy course to walk. If you are in the area it is well worth a game. Certainly not in the same class as the resort courses, but enjoyable.

A great value for money golf course with true and challenging greens
with some great holes 4th 5th & the 12th,
The 9th is a little bit dinky, O.B. inside the course on the left and the tee close to the trees to stop you going for the 230m green.
with a nice cool breeze in summer and well watered fairways.
this course is a joy to play.

As a first time vistor to Yeppoon, I had no trouble getting a round on this wonderful course. It is set up well, with intelligent use of the land, and each hole is an interesting challenge that rewards smart iron play and not smash and grab golf. The kangaroos are in abundance, and the green fees are good value for this kind of course. Can’t wait to come back.

once a member of this course, but moved away.

fairways are great and greens are always in prestine condition. bunkers are positioned strategicly aorund the course and fairways to trap an offline shot. but don't miss the fairway if you value your clubs. the ground can be pebbly. i've noticed over the last 2 years that more grass is growing in these barron parts of the course and it's only geting better.

This is a challenging and picturesque course situated 30 mins from Rockhampton. The course is home to hundreds of kangaroos and other wildlife. A truly breathtaking experience as the wildlife is all around you. The clubhouse is well presented and offers nice views of the golf course.

A great place to visit as the beach is only minutes away for that afternoon recovery swim.

I will be back...
