Peregian Springs Golf Club provides an idyllic venue for enjoying a regular round of golf, entertaining your friends or clients and for forging new friendships.

Facilities include a challenging 18 hole golf course, practice facilities and a superbly appointed clubhouse with bars, dining areas and gymnasium. Unlike many other resort courses or the public courses in the area, access to these facilities is limited to the Members and their guests.

There is no public access (other than by special Manager invitation), no casual drop in visitors. This means easy access to tee times, course etiquette and other benefits normally associated with a private club and of course the friendship and camaraderie which can be found at your new ‘home away from home’.

Designed by one of Australia’s leading golf course designers, Phil Scott, the 62.2 hectare 18-hole course provides the perfect setting to relax and unwind during a game and the ideal environment to network and socialise. With shapely curves, tree lined corridors, manicured greens and strategically positioned lakes, this 72-par course will provide varied and exciting challenges for the keenest of golfers.

plonk your drive down the middle and you will be fine at this course. stray a little bit and be prepared to spend your day trudging through the bush to look for your ball. most definitely a course designed for the older player with a lot of short par fours, slow greens and mild rough, and nothing tough. course well maintained. the course is nothing spectacular, you wouldnt rate it in your top courses youve played, but nevertheless the postion, lifestyle and setup is very good. just need to hit the ball straight here.

I've driven past this course a number of times since it opened as my parents have built a holiday home in the area. From the road the course always looks in impeccable condition so I was pretty excited to have the opportunity of playing the course on a members invite.

The one thing I would suggest anyone playing here for the first time is to play with someone who has some local knowledge. I played with a friend of mine visiting from Sydney on the invite of Stephen Bowditch's dad who has a son who works in the proshop. Unfortunately no one was able to join us for the round.

The first nine is fairly tight and you need to strategise off the tee. In fact there really is only 1 hole (the 2nd) where you really need to hit driver. After staying even with the card for the first 5 holes and thinking this was an easy course, we hit the 6th which is a straigtaway par 4. I had the honour and hit driver with a slight fade and was surprised when it kept drifting until it was 10 metres into tiger snake country. My mate promptly hit 4 iron off the tee and eventually made 5 while I ended up with a triple.

The next hole is a great challenging par 5. Left and right is dead and you need a nice long drive to put yourself in the attack zone. The bush on the right right narrow considerably as you approach the green and so only a perfectly hit long iron or wood will get you close to the green. Probably the most memorable hole on the course.

On the ninth, another par 5 we both hit driver and went too long into bush at the far end of the fairway. The first nine really is 3 wood or iron off the tee play as it is quite narrow and requires accurate play rather than length. The back nine however is a different kettle of fish - more open and a little more forgiving.

The wind however plays a major factor. The par five 11 is a beautiful hole and is reachable in two as the prevailing wind is behind. The 13th which rates as the toughest hole on the course is a long straightaway par 4 into the wind the second shot is played up hill to a green which sits significantly higher than the fairway and plays almost 2 full clubs more than you think.

The other memorable hole for me on the back nine is the 17th where you hit out through a shoot of tall gums to a fairway that opens up. Your approach is across a pond with the green beyond but the shot is made difficult as the wind whips across the green from the right making it difficult to hold the green.

All in all its a thinking mans course where accuracy is more important than length. It still needs some year to mature and beautify as the front nine in particular is quite scrappy in parts as it winds around a future housing development.

I left thinking it was okay - probably worth the $45 bucks we played but not really that inspiring. If given the opportunity I'd play it again - but there are plenty better on the coast.
