Played the South Course in 35 degreee heat the other day and loved it! Fairways and greens are very well manicured, some bunkers had varying depth of sand though, but nothing to be concerned about. The course has an interesting mix of holes that played both up and downhill with well placed bunkers. Fairways are generous, but the course is all about the approach shot with some two tiered greens that are well protected. The club house facilities are second to none.Highly recommended!

Very long, very good condition. Unfairly ranked at present, as easily in the best 25 courses in Australia. Much better than any public course in Melbourne, including the Dunes and Moonah.

Can’t fault this course, compliments the famous North course very well.

Had a very enjoyable round at Peninsula South yesterday.

Overall its a reasonably tough course. Like other sandbelt course the fairways, bunkers, rough and to an extent the greens have a sort of rustic look and feel. This is not say that they are not lacking for quality but rather to make the point you don’t have groom everything to have a highly functional course.

The hard holes generally allow the less skilled player safer routes so in spite of the fact that its a reasonably stern test you can have a pleasant game there no matter what your skill level

All I can say is wow, this is a great course. On a wet weekend when it rained constantly both days, I played an unnamed public course which was located on a clay-base on Saturday and Peninsula on Sunday. The benefits of a sand-belt course are truly amazing. Drainage was superb with no pooling of water and the greens were as playable as if it was a sunny day. Fairways are fairly wide in the landing zone which I am grateful for and are in superb condition even with the winter grass in hibernation. It’s around the greens that it gets interesting with strategic bunkering and undulations from your worst nightmares. Everyone keeps saying this is the best kept secret and to be honest I hope it stays that way, it is a wonderful golfing experience.

Had the good fortune of playing this course whilst attending a conference at the pleasant, if a fraction stuffy, clubhouse. A private club with two courses (I played the north many years ago but it's been re-designed, apparently for the better), Peninsula is quite established and well-appointed with a large driving range that allows for grass hitting zones, alway a bonus.

The South course is a very good sandbelt course, well-bunkered and an ofen undulating design. Tricky doglegs that dare you to be bold are coupled with challenging greens that only yield to the best of putters.

No holes stick out in my mind as exceptional, but nor do I think any were particularly weak. A good course in good condition, worth playing if you get the chance. Better for the lower markers, but no more so than other sand belt courses.
