Very good public course, greens are in A1 condition & the discounted price makes it great value for money. We will return.

Played early in morning June, front nine hard to play for sun rising, had to look into sun (made me keep my head down though)would have been a nightmare if i had been by myself. The green were in very good condition as were the fairways. Only problem we had was finding out way around the course, for first time players of the course(signage was very bad or non existant at times. But overall enjoyed our game.

Measures 5597m Par 70 with five par 3s ranging from 107-204m, ten par 4s ranging from 236-386m and three par 5s ranging from 439-546m.

This course has some weak par 4s and even weaker par 5s with most greens small and unbunkered. Although this course wouldn’t offer much of a challenge to the lower handicapers, it is well-maintained golf course.

Played here 2/4/10 and is the most northerly southern highlands golf course located in Mittagong. Greens were recently cored so I can’t comment too much there.

At 204m the par 3 17th has a downhill tee-shot which negates some challenge with its length. The 107m par 3 18th over a small natural creek is picturesque. Apart from the 236m par 4 7th, with a large dam on the dogleg left corner catching any mis-hit attempts to go for the green there are no real highlights, as most holes seem to be the same as the previous hole. Also good views to the east from 12th tee.

Played Highlands yesterday for the first time in around 2 years.
What a great course the greens are the best I have seen in a long time very smooth and fast. Fairways are great its good to play a course that the ground staff know what they are doing!
There seems to be a new golf pro from last time he was very helpfull showing us the way and letting us know about the lunch up staires after the game. The shop has had a major facelift since my last game and its good they have a nice pro at last who cares about public golf.

A wonderful course with a great view from the 12th tee. A bit of a walk in places and I would recomend booking a buggy for the less than fit. Fairways were lush, the greens were quick and tricky and the hole placements were an act of cruelty. A test for good and fair golfers alike. The only down side was that the 9th hole was in the middle of the course and the toilet was a ranshackle affair on the 12th tee with only one cubicle and much to the annoyance of my wife, a compete selection of peep holes in the walls. The pro shop has great staff and the roast lunch at the club had large serves and very reasonably priced. All in all, a great place to play golf especially early on Sunday

Almost always in Top Condition. Not easy putting. All fairways & Greens seem to slope downhill towards the road. Not easy walking for the older golfer.

I recently played again at Highlands Golf Club at Mittagong and can't believe how well this course holds up in the wet.On the last two occasions I have played here it's been raining and I always find the fairways and greens in top condition. This course will gain alot of respect in the near future due to the ongoing upgrading of the course and clubhouse. The greens are quite quick, ball placement off the tee is quite important on the 6th and 7th, some holes are a challenge whilst some holes like the 18th are pleasurable.

Knowing the course for quite a few years it is getting better as the years pass bye, the fairways are imaculate but the rough needs to be improoved to a large extent. The seventh hole mainly only suits the A grade players as it is too easy to make a mess of your game. As for the greens they suit A-B and C grades because they are in great shape. The way the greenkeeper is going in anouther few years the Highlands golf club will have more members than the other golf clubs in the Southern Highlands.

this is an extremely well kept course the greens are immaculate and fairways are blemmish free.

the only draw backs of this course are the lack of realy trying holes the 6th is great fun known by locals as baumonts folly a par 4 left dog leg across a dam surrounded by dense bush and the 18th wich plays more mind than skill accross a water course main road to left & green backed by the club house.

a rewarding day out but there are some repetativeness in the front 4's & 5's

This is a testing course that requires good ball placement off the tee and careful treatment around the greens - they are small, hard and quick.

The short par 3 18th is over water from an elevated green, and is an interesting way to finish a round.

As you don't get back to the clubhouse until the 18th, make sure you take everything you need with you. There's a half-way house but I'm guessing it is only open on the weekend.

The Highlands is a little gem of a course and with the new clubhouse and proposed alterations to the course it will become a must play destination.

The greens are relatively small and all slope toward the main road. The putting surfaces are very true and deceptively quick and require a lot of thought in your approach to them.

In dry conditions you will need to consider wether to loft your approach or hit a low pitch and run as several greens have subtle but very quick slopes.

There are some very picturesque holes with views towards the East and South to Mittagong.

Definetely worth the 30 minute drive from Campbelltown.

Situated on the side of a gentle slope, the course is a little boring. Many of the holes are the same. There are a couple of lakes, one of which is on the last. A short par 3 over water.
