Me and 3 friends played Tatura at 7am a couple of Saturday mornings ago to start a weekend away and we were pleasantly surprised…

The first 3 or 4 holes were pretty uninspiring and we wondered if we had chosen the right course to play. The rest of the holes were well designed, in good condition and would stand up and shame a large number of better credentialled courses.

At $20 it was a bargain and I would highly recommend it if you are in the Euroa/Shep area!

I play here once a month or so, and I must say, the course is in quite good condition. The greens are in great shape and play quite fair unlike a few other local courses.

Some sections are a little dry, but if you find yourself hitting the fairways more often than not, you will be landing on a nice soft green fairway.

The staff are more than happy to help out, which makes the experience even better.

I’ll provide a quick review of this course. Played it a month or two back and thought it represented great value for money and reasonable nick for a country course.
The Thommo holes are comepletely different in layout, format and difficulty, and don’t really tie in with the rest of the course. That being said, they are fantastic holes.
I’d easily recommend this course to anyone in the area looking for a relaxed hit and not wanting to fork out the $ for the courses up the highway on the river.

i have played this course at least 5 times a year over the last 10 this is the worst i have seen it.

From playing tee up’s through the fairways due to the sale of the clubs irrigation water.

There are some new holes designed by Peter Thomson they as usual seem to be out of place.

              when this drought breaks Hilltop would be a course to visit i would rank it the second best in the goulburn valley.
