I played here in April 2012 and it’s a short but fun little course for the casual hacker. Holes ranged from 84m to 205m, so not much challenge for big hitters, but of course with every hole being par 3, and thus total par being 27, hitting your tee shots straight and landing on the green is essential.
There are a few shallow sand traps, some water on the first few holes, and some strategically placed trees that hide some greens. The first hole is arguably the trickiest, water on the right, a big grassy mound midway down, and a very narrow low tunnel to hit through to get to the green. hit it high and it’s off a tree, punch too low and it’s into the mound, and fade right and hear a splash. Like I said, good fun little challenges.
The greens were soft and not very fast, but the fairways were kept fairly well, and teeing off downwind from the bakery factory is quite pleasant :-)
$13 for 9 holes will take you maybe 90 minutes with 3-4 of you. This would be great for kids, beginners, or anyone looking for a casual game, and/or lots of practise with their short irons. Be realistic about your expectations and you won’t be disappointed.
Oh, and the chicken salt on their chips is different but delicious!
