Good layout in some parts, to hilly in areas. like the idea of the 3 paddocks, highlight hole: 8th Par 3.

fairways: terrible and thick
greens: smooth

Killara is a real hidden gem on Sydney’s north shore. The course is in pristine condition with well-established facilities. Fairways can be on the narrow side with quick putting surfaces. Very enjoyable round.

I was expecting a course similar to its neighbour Avondale. Although its not quite as good as Avondale, it still is an exceptional course which is very well maintained. I can’t remember how many times you cross the road, but its atleast 3 or 4. The fairways and greens are superb – they must have a big supply of water at this course. Well definitely be back, especially getting on for free being a reciprical club.

Killara is a decent course which is kept in so so condition. There are a few interesting holes but the 3 different land parcels detracts from the course. Definitely not a bad course by any means but not as nice as pymble or avondale next door

A well presented and nice looking course I went with high expectations being a private course and it met most of those expectations, a tight and in places hilly course it makes you think about shot selection and it's good to play courses where you can't just stand on every tee and blaze away with driver so I would say it is well worth playing if you get the chance.

Not a long course, nonetheless it is tight on many holes, requiring strong concentration throughout the round. Quite undulating, it also requies fitness to walk the course, especially in winter when some of the lower holes can become boggy.

Highlight holes for me were the Par 3 eighth for prettiness, the Par 5 ninth for risk/reward and the par 4 eighteenth for it's demanding shotplay when you're feeling very tired!

A better course to play in summer, but most importantly when your form is good!
