Kota Permai Golf and Country Club was opened for play in 1998 and was the home of the previous Volvo Masters of Malaysia for five years, and its forerunner the Volvo Masters of Asia in 2002 and 2004. Designed by Australian architect Ross Watson, the championship layout has a challenging mix of holes to test the very best of golfers.
The course was the stage for the Fortis International Challenge in 2007 as it will now serve as the platform for the 2008 Maybank Malaysian Open.
