The Beijing CBD International Golf Club is developed by Beijing Oriental Homemain CBD Sport Center Inc in 2002. It was officially opened in 2005. Brit Stenson, the creator of over 10 golf courses in United States, is the course designer. The 18-hole Championship course is located eight minutes away from China’s World Trade Center and the Central Business District.
Among the standout features include large water hazards and long bunkers. It will be a tricky challenge for the players who will have to battle water hazards in 17 holes highlighted by a classic island green.
The Beijing CBD International Golf Club is the only TPC (Tournament Player Course) style layout in Asia. The course will play host to the 2008 Volvo China Open.
