Having played a number of times now over the last year the course is always improving. The front 9 is challenging and being developed but the back 9 really rewards good solid shot making!
Also the 17th is a true Tin Cup hole. I will make it one day.

I was pleasantly surprised by this course. I used to play there 20+ years ago, and it was very ordinary back in the day. It has certainly improved and matured to the point I am considering becoming a member.
The fairways and greens are in very good condition, as could be expected after 2 weeks of rain, but also, there was no bog to negotiate. Layout improvements include filling in the creek that crossed the 1st and 2nd fairways, and moving tee boxes away from the houses. Another innovation is the use of mock Hawks flying on strings, which work a treat at keeping ducks off the greens. There is no bunkers on the front 9, but the average player will find the layout challenging enough. The last point I will make is the few hills encountered, are about right to keep it interesting but not too challenging for the older players that like to walk.
The staff in the pro shop were friendly and helpful, as were the other players I encountered.

I recently joined the club and find the staff their very useful. The cousre is very good considering we are in our worst drought. The course offers a great challenge to anyone – beginner or pro.

Nice layout but it needs a lot of attention. Played there last week and found greens full of diease and just overal in poor condition. I also found that the pro shop wasn't very helpful or professional.

would play again if i was paid for cheers

Having just moved to the area I started my search for a club to call my 'local'. I'd heard some stories (good and bad) about this place over the years so I thought as my closest club it might as well be my first. It didn't look promising when I first arrived - a large 'shed' type building for a club house (but a great bar next door!) and work sheds are just off to the right of the first tee. By the time I got round the dog leg on the first though things began to look better.

The course was a pleasure to play - even though I hit off 2 'suburban' courses usually have a couple of holes that are a challenge, with a few more if i ain't playing that well. This course didn't disappoint and save for some shocking 'putting' I might have broken par. Most fairways are green, and the greens are just that - green. No sand on the front nine (that i saw) but enough on the back to make you concentrate. Not much water - but where there is are right in the range of a decent shot. The biggest danger is the bush/scrub off the fairways - in some cases there's no 'rough' only a lost ball or two. I played a few other 'local' courses but will make this place my real local. For the time being, (before the membership goes through), the $26 for green fees is well worth it

i have now played at mt warren a few times and the course isn't too bad.

to have fun and just spend a little time practising the course will challenge you every hole..

the layout is very good and the greens anf fairways are in great condition..

the hazards here also give you a great challenge..

Quite good but not of championship standards. Quite nice to play and offers some chalanges, Small raized greens that can be hard to hit but last time I played there were no sand bunkers on the course and not realy any long holes so it's not hard to put in a good score at the end of the day.

Set up for the average golfer and overall not to bad, bring your short game and you will do well. Ill give it 5/10 on the Gringo scale.

Nice course, staff very friendly and professional nice surroundings, need a good short game if you aren't accurate with irons, you get a better understanding of the course the 2nd time you play, you can take alot of short cuts if you can hit it long, also can get you into trouble so be carefull.

If I lived close to this course I would probably join very affordable and you never get bored of playing this course.

Course 8/10
