A short but challenging extremely well kept 9 hole golf club. The course has two tee boxes for each hole, changing the angles and shots a surprising amount for some holes. Contains two drivable par fours and two reachable par fives in the right conditions but superb use of terrain and bunkering can leave with you with some impossible shots should you short side yourself.
Plays host to the Nedlands Masters combined with the WA open in December when even pro's such as Nick O'Hern, Stephen Leany and Brett Rumford struggle to get substantially under par.
Always in top condition and a very friendly mix of people from all walks of life. A definite must if visitin Perth on a golfing holiday.

Until I recently played the Cups 9 at the Dunes in Vic, I was fairly sure Nedlands was the best 9 in the land. Not so sure now, but its still very good. Fairways are as good as anywhere, bunkering is strong and the greens are very, very hard to read. And usually very fast. Miss the green with your approach and say hello bogey.
Its only a short course (ACR 70), so accuracy off the tee is rightly placed at a premium. The greens are all built up, so a miss usually results in a severe slope to navigate before you reach the putting surface.
The short par-4 sixth, at 285 metres, has to be the best sub-300 metre par 4 in W.A. The green can be reached off the tee, even into the Freo Doctor, however the hint of a fade and you’ll be on the road. The greenside bunkers front left and right HAVE to be the steepest, nastiest greenside traps in Perth. The green slopes from front to back (where there is another road), and in summer, putting down the hill would be around 12.5 on the stimpmeter.
