Excellent track, that is in excellent condition at the moment. Members seem quiet nice and best of all the beer is nice and cold. Very good mix of holes, par threes and very nice. Also had lots of well established trees which gives the course a great sense of character.

Played here this week and really loved the course. Some very challenging holes, especially the par 3’s, deep bunkers! Love all the old trees, spent some time trying to knock them down :), some good risk/reward holes too, will try to play there again for sure.

I always play this course as part of the Mazda competition each year and just love it.
With the mature gum trees and quiet setting (except for the jets) you could be mistaken for thinking it is in the middle of country Vic. Always well presented with a strong and interesting layout. The rough is mostly very open so recoveries are easy, greens are not the quickest around but true with subtle breaks to catch poorly read puts.
Looking for to next year!

The Northern Golf Club in Glenroy should be very proud of their course. This course is generally presented in tip top condition all year round. The fairways have been converted to Santa Anna couch and now rival the famed sandbelt courses in condition and the bunkering is first rate. The par 3's at Northern are outstanding with the pick of them being the shortish 6th. Only a short iron is needed however the tee shot needs to fly the water directly in front of the green to reach the putting surface, which slopes from back to front. Miss the green left or right and you will need your sand wedge. Northern is a course that should not be missed and must surely rate as the best course north of the Yarra.

played here today (arvo) as a members guest. First time playing this course and was very impressed. Not overly hard for a hack like me with wide and forgiving fairways and true greens. Loved the challenging par 3s and the short par 5s. Members were really nice and pro shop bloke made you feel very welcome. Agree with russ that the big old trees give the course its character. Overall had a fantastic experience and if given the chance would definetely play there again.
