Played here October 2010 during one of the weeks of golf that the club organises. Good value for money by playing in a tournament that way. Enjoyed the way that the holes dogleg from tee to green. Means you only need the GPS for your approach shots into the green. Fairways were well grassed. Bunkers were in good condition. Greens were fantastic. Had two outstanding rounds there and thoroughly enjoyed the week.

Holes 1-9 (Blue) measures 2791m Par 35 with two par 3s ranging from 121-188m, six par 4s ranging from 253-419m and the 440m par 5 3rd with fairway bunker 210m from the tee on the left with 2 bunkers guarding the front.
Probably my least favourite layout of the course. Some par 4s are quite weak with you finding yourself hitting the same club from the dogleg corners. All greens are bunkered. It is the shortest nine-hole layout on the course.

Holes 10-18 (red) measures 2989m Par 36 with two par 3s ranging from 137-143m, five par 4s ranging from 311-407m and two par 5s ranging from 454-465m. It is more thickly, taller tree-lined than the blue, but on par with the yellow (holes 19-27). Again all greens are bunkered. Highlights here:

  • the 332m 90 degree dogleg left 13th with 2 bunkers guarding the greenside right.
  • 465m double dogleg 15th with water from 220m from the tee to green along the left, large fairway bunker 30-70m short of the green for the mis-hit approach to the green (that is if its not in the water), trees along the right.
  • 403m uphill dogleg left par 4 18th with bunker left.

Holes 19-27 (yellow) measures the longest 3225m Par 37 with two par 3s ranging from 145-182m, four par 4s ranging from 314-400m and three par 5s ranging from 469-500m. This is my favourite 9-holes on the course. Similar to the red course, with its 90 degree doglegs to its gentle uphill holes. The best bunkered greens are found on this course.

Overall the layout is similar to the previous hole. The fairways are generally wide and you can not really lose a ball in the trees here as they are tall and do not have any undergrowth. The greens are receptive and run smoothly and consistent – but not as good as Tura Beach. The teeboxes are flat and the fairways are quite lush. Not any bare patches out there.

Played here 13/08/2010 and only paid $35 to play all 27 holes. I recommend holes 10-27 for the challenge. The layout is not as good as Tura Beach, but there are 27 holes here. I recommend a round here.

I played all 27 holes. If you are playing 18, 10-27 are the more scenic and testing, with plenty of doglegs making club selection and ball placement a priority. 19-27 is also quite long at 3225 metres. 1-9 are nice holes, but not as challenging or as varied as the other nines. The course is always is top condition, although you could be inconvenienced by the odd kangaroo print in bunkers.

Certainly a ‘must play’ if you are in the vicinity.

This course is in excellent condition with great fairways and greens. Played holes 10-27 with the holes 19-27 the longest on the course, however quite playable. Plenty of 'roos on the course. The course is not overly difficult and well laid out. Only criticism is that the visitor playing in comps is hit hard compared to other courses nearby, eg full greens fees plus comp fee, $40 for the round. Other nearby clubs look after the visitor better.

Still worth a hit if playing in the area.

Played holes 10 to 27 and found the course to be very demanding on your tee shots. Some very good dogleg par 4's which requires some thought as to what iron to hit off the tee.

Plenty of Kangaroos inhabit the course and the odd bunker can be pot-holed with paw prints.

The greens were excellent with many subtle breaks and some excellent bunkering both on the fairways and around the greens. At only 5,499 metres this layout has some very long par 4's with No's 16, 18 & 25 all over 400m. There are 5 par 5's with the longest being the 11th at 494m with a very long fairway bunker along the right side.

A must play course.

Played this course some years ago and it was beautiful, very scenic. The old 9 weaves it's way through the forest, hence it is quite tight and the rough unforgiving. Play for position from the tee. Don't recall much about the newer 9 apart from the fact that it was more open with some water coming into play. Still, well worth playing if you ever visit the "Sapphire Coast".
